So you need to check it every time before using and only use it to stabilize yourself and not lift your body with it.. I’m trying to find a more durable one. Tape around the prongs is the simple fix to thicken them a bit thus hitting the switch avoiding the wedge which will either work long term if the switch tip wore down slightly vs cracked slamming the door or b it'll eventually fail and require a a replacement personally id order the switches for back up. lastly a big fu to Panasonics error code look up.

    Tesla doesn’t provide grab bars because they opted to install an air curtain to protect people's skulls/brains in serious collisions. These will either become projectiles when the air bags deploy, prevent them from protecting your brain, or both. Clever video…dangerously bad idea tho.

    • @tongmovies
      @tongmovies 29 днів тому

      The air curtain is just that, a curtain for the door windows and doors. They shoot down, not across the glass ceiling. And therefore the suction cup grab bars won’t block the air bags. Most modern cars have air curtains AND grab bars too. So there’s no reason Tesla didn’t include them.

    • @johnmichael4504
      @johnmichael4504 27 днів тому

      Thanks clarifying your rationale. I was thinking of the official Tesla manual statement: Warning Do not attach or place objects on or near the front airbags, the side of the front seats, the headliner at the side of the vehicle, or any other airbag cover that could interfere with inflation of an airbag. These include but are not limited to: steering wheel covers, decals, seat cushions, pillows, etc. Objects can cause serious injury if the vehicle is in a collision severe enough to cause the airbag to inflate. However, mounting a suction cup handle on the roof glass is not included in this language.

      If someone was using a flashlight, I don't think it would be so steady and slow - try it and see how difficult it is.. It's also a near perfect circle, unless you're directly behind the flashlight, it wouldn't be oval. This is in our backyard, and our other camera with a partial view didn't capture anything that would cause it (wind, bugs) Actually wind (or lack of wind) would cause movement like that. And there shouldn't be anyone close to our backyard - there are commercial buildings with wide open spaces. Reflection from an animal? Headlight far away?

    • @tongmovies
      @tongmovies 2 місяці тому

      It happened to me again just last week. The wedge trick didn’t work either but it was the same issue. The door switch I replaced three years ago completely failed. Anyway, I replaced the switch again and it’s good as new. Before the switch failed, the turntable spun when we opened the door, which was strange. So I don’t know if your one minute shutoff is related. You might just need to reboot the microwave ie unplug it. Weird things have happened to me that were resolved with a reboot. If you are mechanically inclined, replace the door switch I have listed in the description KW3AT-16. It’s actually pretty easy to do. If it doesn’t work you’re out $6.
